On Christmas Eve, the Jeffrey Family was on their way home from family Christmas in Kentucky. Adam, Kristie, Sierra, Madalynn, Aspen and Aidan were driving in front in their van, and Savannah and her boyfriend Arnold were following behind in another car. A drunk driver crossed over into the oncoming lane, over a hill. Adam was barely able to swerve out of the way, but Savannah didn't have time to react as the driver hurtled towards them, hitting them head on at full speed. She sustained multiple breaks to every limb, and both of her hips were broken. She has an extremely long and difficult recovery journey ahead, with surgeries, physical therapy and pain management.

Savannah’s indomitable strength on this journey has been incredible to witness, and as she works towards her goals we’ve seen such amazing courage and hard work!
